Ping’s G series drivers, woods and irons are built for forgiveness and suit most club golfers. The i series irons are aimed at better players, and Ping putters, including the Anser, are some of the most copied designs in golf.
Ping irons carry a coloured dot that shows their lie angle. Black is standard. Other colours mean the irons were made more upright or flatter to suit someone’s height and swing, so check the colour if you are buying a set.
What to check
- The colour dot on irons. Black means standard lie.
- Model year. Ping updates its G series about every two years, so older models are often very good value.
- Shaft flex. Match it to your swing speed.
- Left-handed clubs. Ping makes most of its range in left-handed versions.
